found a suitable bride out of the public

paid attention to the exchange rate.

Nowadays however they are watching

The slightest dip in the exchange rate

to someone’s advantage and they are

right there jolly at the bank to make an

The same if the currency fluctuation goes

the other way.  Then the people on the other

side of the fluctuation are wanting to exchange.

It has gotten comical.

You can’t blame them, though, especially

when people are sending money home to

relatives in other countries. 

Someone told me the story about the

Filipino currency was running 50 to

the dollar and then down to 40, with

parallel fluctuation in the Euro conversion.

What a hardship this could be for families

abroad who lack work and are dependent

on these few bits of assistance from family

to help them get by.

I have been trying to drive less

because of the cost of petrol.

So I had not been to the postal

office in two days.

I went there Saturday night

and knew I had  Friday and

Saturday’s mail in the  box.

But no.  The key would not

open the box.  So I could not

get to the mail.

On Monday I went in and they

said the rental had expired, although

I had not received any notice of

this (otherwise I would have paid

the rentail).

So, it was more than 48 hours til I

was able to secure the mail that was

already some 48 hours old.

Not every citizen has stayed put

in-country.

Many have traveled abroad.

One statistic quotes that 5 and a half million

peoples are not residing in Britain.  That is

a huge number.

The reasons for this are many.  The economy

is one of the strongest.

Family ties can also be a deciding factor.

If someone already has relatives abroad,

joining them becomes a real possibility

since families do not like to be separated.

negative, I for one am hopeful

that the dregs of our society can

be cleaned up a bit.  Drugs are a

huge problem.

As I’m writing  I have to think

that life in the future could never

be identically the same as our past. 

We should not expect it to be so,

and we should not glorify something

just because it is old.

I love news from England.

It is never dull.

 
In fact, the more dull you think

it might be, it seems like the

opposite proves true.  Things

are never exactly as you

imagine the might be.

London personality Gordon Ramsey

has fires going off in every kitchen

these days, and the term Hell’s Kitchen

seems especially apt.  When he’s not

being reported to have financial difficulties,

the questions come up about having affairs

and betrayal of his wife.

Gordon Ramsay is refusing comment. 

Wouldn’t you?

Mr. Ramsay (Mr. £60million) is portrayed

as a loving dad with high devotion to his wife.

His wife Tana and he live is a  £3.5million

London residence.

According to The News of the World

the report goes  ‘They had sex.’ 

And they are not talking about the

G-man and his wife.

He and Ms. Tana married some

12 years ago.  It should be noted

that they now have 4 kids all under

the age of 9. 

Their names are  Megan, Jack,

Holly, and Tilly.  Holly and Jack

are twins.

In  2006 and in 2007 he (G ) was

voted Celebrity Father of the Year,

and also they have been named

Celebrity Family of the Year.

Isn’t that ironic.

His London flagship hospitality

establishment is named Foxtrot

Oscar.  Now it is closed 2 days

a week. 

Other London establishments of

his are for sale.

$14 million and the Royal Bank

of Scotland add spice to the story,

a reported loan according to

sources close to the matter. 

Then there’s the issue of two

years of back taxes reportedly

also owed.  Wonder if that is

true.

Flying about London these days

are many a rumor to the effect

that some restaurants owned

by the star are now asking for

extended payment plans to

suppliers.  Of course, rumors

fly around alot.

All this is in start contrast when

viewed in the context of his

startling success, such as  his

most recent Michelin star  in Tokyo,

and his career total of an enormous

14 stars awarded.

The restaurant stars it seems have

the tendency to come and go, and

two went away in the pocket of his

protege Marcus Waring who also

took key employees when he departed.

It is really not our place to be throwing

stones.  Not me, anyway. 
 

I am only pointing out that this is a

very interesting story, and it is indeed

very interesting the messes that high

energy, big personality celebrity

persons sometimes find themselves

in from time to time. 

I do not know whether this is a case

of mania gone wild, or of drugs

being abused as many have alluded

to the use of sexual stimulants, but

it does cause one to ponder such

issues, and to be thankful for ones

own slow and boring life free of

such entanglements and dramas.
